First, what are cookies? A cookie is a small text file (few bytes), which is transferred between a website and its browser and it is usually used by the website operator to save information necessary to improve the surfing experience in the website. The different types of cookies used in this website are:

Browsing cookies
These cookies allow the website to work correctly. After having created an account, they let you log in and manage your profile in all its areas (session identifiers cookies, timestamps). If you are a registered user, thanks to cookies, the website will be able to recognise you as such when you access the services offered to registered users.

Functional cookies
These cookies allow the website to recognise you every time you log in. If you have decided to add items to your basket and you don’t remove them, after closing the session without completing your purchase, these cookies will let you receive an e-mail with the details of your basket and ad hoc promotional codes. In addition, they permit to offer better and personalised service, for example, they are generated if the user doesn’t want to view e-mail capturing pop-ups anymore or when the user has leaved a comment on the blog or on an item, or to remind the user of an evaluation to an item.

Analytical cookies
These cookies are used by Google Analytics and by the internal search engine to carry out statistical analyses on how users use our website with their computers: on how many pages a user has visited or the number of mouse clicks made on a page while using the website, as well as on demographical data reports (such as, for example, gender, age and interests). They are used to collect data on how users (not only registered ones) use our website and, therefore, to let us improve layout and surfing.

Social media cookies
These cookies are used to remind the user of a sharing or an action undertaken in the website (for example a “like” given to an item).

Transactional cookies
These cookies are used by means of automated systems without human intervention (art.13 2009/136/CE) in order to directly market our products or services, which is only permitted to registered users of the website.

Cookies for display advertisement
Sometimes we use independent advertisement companies for ads on our website. These companies can recognise or insert a specific cookie in your computer or your portable devices. These cookies are used to send you the most pertinent ads, in order to meet your interests. In addition, they are used to reduce the frequency with which you are exposed to certain ads, as well as to measure how effective an advertising campaign is. They memorise that you have visited a website and this information is shared with other organisations, such as advertisement companies. The functions of Google Analytics are implemented according to display advertisement (for example remarketing, reports on the impressions of Google Display Network, integration of DoubleClick Campaign Manager or reports on demographical data and on interests of Google Analytics also the ones taken into account by third parties.). By modifying the settings “ads”, visitors can disable Google Analytics for display advertisement and customise ads for Google Display Network.

Google and third party cookies for marketing/retargeting
These cookies are used by third party suppliers, in order to let you view advertisement banners on associated websites that show the last products you have checked on our website. To undertake this promotional activity, we use both first party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) and third party cookies.

Cookies can be disabled: most browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) are configured to accept cookies. However, most browsers allow to control and disable cookies in the settings of the browser. We remind you, though, that disabling browsing cookies or functional ones may prevent our website from functioning correctly and/or may limit the services offered by our website.
